Potato Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • ½ tsp salt or more
  • ½ cup onions
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz.
  • 4 cups sliced potatoes thin sliced
  • 1 can cheddar cheese soup 10¾ oz
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese thin sliced
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Render fat from hamburger but do not brown. Drain. Sprinkle with salt.
  • Combine onions, oregano, pepper, sugar and tomato sauce. Stir soup and milk until smooth.
  • Put sliced potatoes in broiler pan (11x13x2). Add beef and soup mixture and stir.
  • Dot with butter. Pour tomato sauce mixture over the top but do not stir.
  • Cover with foil. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
  • Remove and add cheeses.
  • Return to oven and bake uncovered until cheese becomes bubbly (15 minutes or so).
