Ingredients

Brine

  • 13 cups water
  • 6 cups vinegar
  • 1 cup salt

Pickles

  • cucumbers to fill jars
  • dill
  • 1 tbsp sugar per quart
  • alum pea size per jar
  • garlic powder

Instructions

  • Put cucumbers in jar. Add dill and 1 Tbsp. sugar per quart.
  • Also alum the size of a pea and garlic powder.
  • Bring the brine to boil and pour over pickles and seal.
