Oatmeal Crunch Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp soda
  • 1⅓ cup flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking oatmeal
  • ½ cup nuts chopped
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Instructions

  • Cream butter with brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Press into bottom of ungreased pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, 13x9 inch pan.

Frosting

  • Sprinkle chocolate pieces in hot bars. When soft, spread to frost.
