Ingredients

medium cabbage
coarsely chopped

Instructions
Place chopped cabbage in pot with ½ tsp. salt, cover with boiling water.
Boil 7 minutes and drain.
Place half of cabbage in a buttered rectangular baking dish.
Make white sauce as follows: melt butter in skillet; add flour, slowly add milk.
Cook and stir until thick, and add salt (½ tsp.) and cayenne pepper.
Pour half of white sauce over cabbage, sprinkle with ½ cup Parmesan cheese and ½ cup cracker crumbs.
Layer remaining cabbage and white sauce over mixture.
Again sprinkle with cheese and cracker crumbs.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Cut in 3 inch squares for serving.
Notes
Serves 6. (May use microwave to cut baking time.)
