Chicken-Dressing Scallop

Ingredients

Main Dish

  • 1 pkg herb seasoned dressing 8 oz. package
  • 3 cups chicken cubed
  • ½ cup margarine
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 6 eggs slightly beaten

Sauce

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Pimento

Instructions

Main Dish

  • Prepare stuffing by pkg. directions for driest stuffing.
  • Spread in 9x13" pan. Top with layer of chicken.
  • In saucepan melt oleo [margarine] and add flour and seasoning.
  • Add broth, cook and stir until thick.
  • Stir small amount of mixture into beaten eggs. Then return to hot mixture. Pour over chicken.
  • Bake at 325° for 40-45 minutes until knife comes out clean.
  • Let stand to set.

Sauce

  • Stir until hot.
