Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3½ cups flour
  • 4 tbsp sour milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups apples cut small, peeling may be left on
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  • Mix in regular manner. Makes 2 bread loaf pans.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
