Chicken-Dressing Scallop
Ingredients
Main Dish
- 1 pkg herb seasoned dressing 8 oz. package
- 3 cups chicken cubed
- ½ cup margarine
- ½ cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- Dash pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 6 eggs slightly beaten
Sauce
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- Pimento
Instructions
Main Dish
- Prepare stuffing by pkg. directions for driest stuffing.
- Spread in 9×13" pan. Top with layer of chicken.
- In saucepan melt oleo [margarine] and add flour and seasoning.
- Add broth, cook and stir until thick.
- Stir small amount of mixture into beaten eggs. Then return to hot mixture. Pour over chicken.
- Bake at 325° for 40-45 minutes until knife comes out clean.
- Let stand to set.
Sauce
- Stir until hot.
