Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage shredded or cut in pieces
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • Seasonings to taste
  • 1 can cream of tomato soup
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Saute ground beef and onion in butter (heat through, but don't brown). Season to taste.
  • In casserole, place generous layer of cabbage on bottom; add layer of beef and onion; add balance of cabbage as top layer.
  • Over all, pour cream of tomato soup.
  • Cover casserole during first part of baking.
  • Bake until bubbly hot in preheated oven at 350° for 45-60 minutes or until cabbage is tender, depending on size and amount of ingredients used.
  • Serve with generous sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

No back-up from cabbage and low in calorie count.
Cedric Adams, now deceased, was a popular Minneapolis Radio Announcer and known for his column in the Minneapolis paper.
