White Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups water
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp salt
- 4 tbsp melted lard
- 14-15 cups flour
- 2 pkgs dry yeast dissolved in ½ cup warm water
Instructions
- Heat milk and put lard in it to melt.
- Put in large mixing bowl and add water, so mixture is lukewarm.
- Add sugar, salt and yeast mixture. Add flour.
- Place round ball of dough in greased bowl and cover with piece of waxed paper and let rise until double.
- Punch down and let rise again until almost double.
- Mold dough into 4 loaves and let rise again.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
