Ingredients

  • Red crab apples
  • 3 cloves for each jar
  • Pieces of cinnamon
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 tbsp vinegar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Wash apples and leave stems on.
  • Prick each apple and put in quart jars.
  • Put 3 cloves and few pieces of cinnamon in [each] jar.
  • Boil sugar, water, vinegar, and salt; pour over apples.
  • Seal and put in hot water bath for 15 minutes.
