Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sweet milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup ground raisins
  • 3 cups flour
  • tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp soda

Instructions

  • Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • Mix some of the flour with the raisins.
  • Add dry ingredients and roll into balls. Press down with fork.
  • Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes.
