Mrs. McKay’s Coffee Cake
Ingredients
Cake Mixture
- ¼ cup oleo margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1½ cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- Dash of salt
Topping Mixture
- 2 tbsp melted oleo margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- ½ cup walnuts
Instructions
Cake Mixture
- Cream oleo and sugar; add eggs and beat.
- Alternate mixing the milk and dry ingredients while mixing them into the creamed mixture.
Topping Mixture
- Mix in a bowl.
Combining the Mixtures
- Put half the [cake] mixture into an 8×11-inch greased pan.
- Put half of [the topping] mixture on top of the cake in the pan[.]
- [R]est of the cake mixture and rest of topping mixture.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
