Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread dough
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 lg pkg vanilla pudding or 2 small pkgs, not instant
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Thaw bread, but do not allow to rise.
  • Grease 9×13-inch pan.
  • Tear one loaf into pieces and drop helter skelter into pan.
  • Melt butter; add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour over the torn-up loaf.
  • Tear the second loaf and put on top of the first loaf, trying to fill empty spots.
  • Let rise 2½-3 hours.
  • Place in 375° oven for 30 minutes.
  • Let cool about 15 minutes and turn out onto waxed paper.
  • Nuts or raisins may be added to topping.
