Ingredients

Overnight Coffee Cake

  • cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs well beaten
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Topping

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup nuts
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

Instructions

Overnight Coffee Cake

  • Cream first 3 ingredients, add beaten eggs.
  • Sift dry ingredients.
  • Add buttermilk alternately with dry ingredients (add dry ingredients first and last).
  • Place in refrigerator overnight.

Topping

  • In the morning, place topping on cake and bake for 40 minutes at 350°.
