Buns
Ingredients
- 2 pkgs yeast
- ½ cup warm water
- 1 cup milk scald
- ½ cup shortening
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 eggs beaten
- 8 cups flour
Instructions
- Soak yeast in warm water.
- Scald milk and then add shortening, sugar and salt.
- Stir until shortening is melted.
- Then add cold water and eggs.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Add flour and mix.
- Let set ten minutes, then knead for 5 minutes.
- Let raise and set into buns.
- Bake 10-12 minutes. (May take longer)
